After months of online chatting, he went and stayed with him for the weekend. They had sex, they slept, they cuddled, they hugged, they held each other for as long as both desired it.

They didn’t eat much and they barely spoke. They didn’t need words to communicate. Both knew there was no future. There was no point in asking how things could be after COVID-19.

They had this moment, this eternal present. And that was all they cared about. Both knew what they felt and that was enough. Both, also knew, that not every relationship is meant to last forever. And they were ok with that.

  1. I really like the way you are able to see different relationships from different point of views. This one, with both partners okay with not having a relationship that lasts forever and being satisfied with the present is a very powerful feeling. I feel as though with all of these stories, you do a great job of helping me «see» what is happening and you also strike a chord within in what to feel.
