“All the time. Not a single day goes by without me thinking of you. You’re tattooed on my brain.”

“Well, you’re wired to my soul. And you know something? This kind of attachment is permanent and leaves deep marks.”

“I love you to the infinite and beyond.”

“And I love you in all the parallel universes in which we get to exist.”

With those last words, he hang up the phone and gave it back to the nurse – who looked like an astronaut due to her protective gear. He was isolated in a hospital receiving treatment for this new and unknown virus hitting the world. He was scared. He didn’t know if and when will he see his fiancée again.
